Before Facebook, there were newspapers... Is this like being "unfriended" and then "friended" again?
I wonder what Mrs Len Bullen said about Mrs R Wardley? Clearly it was pretty bad for Mrs Bullen to have to print a retraction in the newspaper! Perhaps they should have heeded the Proverb before their quarrel got to this stage. I wonder if they were able to salvage their friendship?

I believe Mrs R Wardley was Alverade Hicks, who married Rowland Charles Wardley in 1916. Rowland was my second great grand uncle. And Mrs Len Bullen is most likely Ruby Irene Punton, who married Leonard Russell Bullen in 1922. Labels: Trove, Trove Tuesday, Wardley
